SUTD's What The Hack 2022
I was the lead dev on What The Hack 22's organising team.
Description
I was the lead developer on the organising team for SUTD's premier annual hackathon, What The Hack 2022. Hosted at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), WTH provided a platform for over 200 participants to showcase their skills and creativity, tackling problems pertinent to society.
With an overarching theme of "A Brighter Future", the 2022 edition of WTH focused on problem themes of Sustainable & Smart Cities, Healthcare & Accessibility Tech, and Social Activities & Games. The competition was fierce, with 48 teams competing for 6 prizes, and it was heartening to see the impact the event had on the participants as they shared their experiences of how the format stimulated their creativity and showcased their skills.
The Site
Working closely with a UI designer, we brainstormed, designed, wireframed, and developed the site in less than a month. The extensive use of colours and SVGs made the site really pop and we were really proud of how it turned out. This was built using Vue.js. Mobile responsiveness was also a key focus when developing.
It was amazing to see what participants were able to develop over the 48 hour hackathon, crafting innovative solutions and pitching them to our judges. Overall, it was a very fulfilling experience to be a part of this hackathon, working together with a dedicated and amazing organising team to bring this event to life.
